Books That Define Me
If I am just one thing, I am a bookworm. I read compulsively.
A few months back, my best friend Kate posed a question: What are the top five best or most important according to you?
Kate is as much of a lover of books as I am, only she reads about twice as fast as I do. From her, this is no unimportant question.
Books have been my friends, my entertainment, my tutors, and even my anti-anxiety treatment since I was a little girl.
They are still all that to me.
I found it almost impossible to narrow down to a list of five. I could not even pick five authors. I created sub categories and arguments for why my books fit into one or the other.
The question I find easier to answer is, "What books have impacted me, changed me, and defined me?"
My one major requirement to qualify for these special post is that I have read the book more than once, out of the plain feeling that I didn't get enough the first time around.
I would like to share some of these books with fellow readers. Or maybe entice a non-bookworm to stop by the library for the first time in years.
I would also love to hear about books that define you.
