Learn Piano with Free Newsletter
I didn't take lessons. I figure it is better that I can say I don't play an instrument due to lack of opportunity. Had my folks shelled out for lessons, I'd have my lack of devotion to blame.
If I could learn to play one instrument, I would choose the piano. It's such a popular instrument for community and social events. Virtually any style of music can be played on the piano. I would love to be able to be the person called upon to play carols at Christmas or show tunes for a community theater. I would have to learn to play Great Balls of Fire.
My dream of someday learning to play the piano is first dependent upon living somewhere with enough room for an upright piano or even a keyboard. The first question after I brought home my keyboard (realistically, I'd be too cheap to by a piano I didn't know how to play) would be getting reasonably priced piano lessons that I can do in the comfort of my own home on my own schedule.
While I may be a few years away from ready to learn, I have found the perfect teacher. Right online at PlayPiano.com I can sign up for a free newsletter including both piano lessons & piano chords.
There are 101 free lessons in all. The site does offer DVD courses, but there is never any obligation to buy. That tells me the methods must be effective. Not only would I get to test them out, I would get to test my talent and commitment without further investment. What more could you ask for?
