You Are What You Read

It is a small tradition here at The Creative Nerd to offer photographic evidence of large book buys. My original book porn was from last August depicting my haul from the Y.M.C.A. book fair.

The books pictured here are from a sale at a local library yesterday. They were in clear out mode, rather than fund raising. Get this: ten cents a piece. I went through everything, ending up with 84 books. I rounded up, giving the nice ladies $10 even. Far is fair.

While not a traditional self portrait, I do believe who I am is mostly made up of the book I've read over my lifetime. It was pure luck how the above photo above showcases three books that effectively illustrate important aspects of me. And my reading habits, of course.

We have Atlas Shrugged showing my brainy and serious side.

We have Nerd in Shining Armor showing my sensual side and proving it has a sense of humor.

We have The Long Dark Tea-Time of the Soul showing lunacy and love of language, or at least Douglas Adams.

Down to my core, I am what I read.

This week, I decided o try out the timer on my camera for the first time. I've been ...
